This is The Heat #2. I didn't know there was a first issue. Straight out of Europe.

Here's what Dominik and Adam have to say.
Hey kids,

The HEAT #2 is finally out and we're stoked about the new issue. Of course our view is pretty biased but well this is advertising. But before I don't stop ranting about this or that look what you can find in it.

Interviews with :
* 108
* Death Is Not Glamorous
* No Turning Back
* Unholy (When Tigers Fight, ex-The Promise)
* Greg Bennick (Trial)
* Marco Avocado Booking
* Crisis Never Ends
* Michael AtTheShow.org (heast oida, du bist ur-guad)
* Patrick Daymares (ex-Sunrise)
* Niko Blacktop Records
* Stephen Fallis (At Both Ends Fanzine)
* An interview with Chris LetItBurn about horror movies
* Patrick Daymares (ex-Sunrise)
* Asunto
* Death Before Disco

plus some more interviews.

Well what else? Columns (of course), personal shows review of 2006, some articles and an article series called "Tale Of The Lost Record", plus the usual bunch of reviews, hc cheesiness and so on.

74 pages. b/w cover. Completely in English. Content for at least 1-3 weeks of sitting on the toilet.

thexheat@gmail.com is the best way to get in touch with us and to find out all the details about buying new issue!
There you have it. Look into that one. 1-3 weeks worth of sitting material is good in my book. I want to read it just to see what Stevie has to say.

Malfunction records is always on top; one hot release after another. And for the summer season, it's only getting hotter.

Here's what Tru has to say!
First off, the big news: preorders for Internal Affairs "Deadly Visions" will begin now! here will be 200 copies on a limited color just for you loyal mailorder people as well as a CDEP/poster deal. Remember we also have in stock the second press of their "S/T" LP so pick up both. For you non-vinyl hardcore fans (and seriously, you need to get turntables), you'll be able to download these two releases (and all other Malfunction releases) off iTunes.com. RECORDS SHIP SECOND WEEK OF JUNE!

Bitter End is recording their debut full length entitled "Climate of Fear" in mid May and to celebrate (and offset our credit cards going to shit) we are doing some eBay auctions to raise some money to pay for this soon-to-be legendary release. We've decided there's no place better than to make their record release show this year's Sound and Fury Festival in always sunny Ventura, CA. Drop everything important and make sure you attend the first day as they will be leveling the Alpine and most of the left coast with some of the best current hardcore bands around today.

The lovely lads of Meltdown will begin touring next week with the kings of Philadelphia, PA Blacklisted for a short two week jaunt. After that they'll set their sights on Europe and wash over the motherland like the Black Plague with Holland's No Turning Back. By coincidence (or maybe not), we just got in some of the limited vinyl version of their debut CDEP "Demolition" from our new friends at Closed Casket Activities.

The unstoppable touring juggernaut that is Trash Talk will continue with plans to hit everywhere and anywhere till the end of 2007! We think Lee and co. is certifiable and we're just waiting on the documented proof, which will be coming later this summer as they head into the studio for their debut CDEP with Malfunction. In other TT news, our good good friends at Six Feet Under Records will be releasing the vinyl version of "Walking Disease" (CDEP on Rumble Records) so make sure you don't miss out on that!

Xo skeletons have just finished recording their new album more info check out myspace.com/xoskeletons

For our plans this summer besides days spent watching Dodgers games and chillin at Chateau Harder (shout out), Malfunction Records will be attending both hardcore festivals with stops at Sound and Fury Festival (Ventura, CA) and This is Hardcore 2007 (Philadelphia, PA). Will we have cr00sh special merch at these events? Will weird people be running our tables at these events [probably]? All these answers and more will be... uhhh... answered so come out to both and say hi!

Since we finally got our new website/webstore up we recently added a whole bunch of new items for your consumption pleasure. Please note that if you are outside the United States you need to order at least 2 items due to shipping charges. If this doesn't work for you, we urge you to check out the fine folks at revhq.com.

Revhq.com! iTunes.com! They love us. Check them out.

So quit sleeping, and get those pre orders in now. You know it'll be worth it.

Have Heart World Tour ...

I love Have Heart. Those dudes just left today for Japan. I wish them good luck and safe travels. They have a pretty busy schedule. Check out what B9 had to say.
Have Heart is still touring in support of their LP "The Things We Carry" which came out in August of 2006. This winter, Have Heart said "we want to tour more starting in May." The results are:

1) May - The guys are hitting Japan,
2) June - then flying to the USA, doing some shows in California,
3) then flying to pickup some shows with Madball and Terror,
4) then flying over to Europe to play Pressure Festival.
5) July - Then after a short break, they head out to California to play the Sound & Fury Festival,
6) August - then tour back across the USA with Death Before Dishonor and Rise & Fall before
7) August & September - flying back to Europe to destroy everyone on their tour with Bane and Ceremony.
8) November - After that, they're going to South America.

www.bridge9.com/shows for information.
Now that's a busy schedule. Maybe Pete will bring me back some ltd JP merch. We'll see.

***Palehorse Touring Europe & Amongst The Flock gets more praise***

Palehorse has been destroying kids nightly since the release of Amongst the Flock last November and they're currently in the middle of their first tour to Europe. If you're overseas, check out www.bridge9.com/shows for the latest show information. People are still discovering Amongst the Flock, and Metal Edge recently said that the record is "...Pensive, original, and heavy are three words that best describe Palehorse's experimental hardcore album Amongst The Flock. With hasty vocals that revel in the essence of punk and an imulsive, hardcore rhythm, Palehorse generates an interestingly intense genre of their own. Moreover, Amongst The Flock has plenty of catchy breakdowns. Even if you aren't a fan of either of these genres, you can appreciate (if not enjoy) Amongst The Flock's appealing, innovative aura." It just keeps coming.

***Ruiner Prepare To Be Let Down information & Tour Announced***

Baltimore's ugly spawn, Ruiner, is getting ready to release their debut LP Prepare To Be Let Down on June 19th. Following their record release show on June 16th in Maryland, they're embarking on a full US and European tour that doesn't end until October. For detailed show information, go to www.bridge9.com/shows. The European tour announcement will be made very soon, and it will be worth the wait.

***Ceremony Scared People EP coming out July 3rd on Itunes and vinyl***

Ceremony has a touring schedule that is going to cover just about every corner of the US and Europe following the release of their 7" and Digital release Scared People. This is a six song EP that is just punishing. If you haven't heard Ceremony yet, they've released a demo, a 7" and a CD/LP on Malfunction Records, and they're the most brutal, angry, out of control band you'll see live. This summer, they'll be touring with Shipwreck and Blacklisted, then hitting Europe with Bane and Have Heart-a few shows are with this little group called the Gorilla Biscuits. The full-length will be coming out in Early 2008, but trust us-this will hold you over.

***Crime In Stereo and Ambitions finishing their B9 Debuts***

Long Island's Crime In Stereo and Connecticut's Ambitions are finishing up their Bridge Nine debuts. You'll have to wait a while for these ones, but it's going to be the the last part of a great year here at Bridge Nine.

Finally-we here at Bridge Nine would like to say goodbye to the guys who made up a little group called Kill Your Idols. This is a band that B9 had the privilege of working with on the vinyl version of the Kill Your Idols/Good Riddance split 7" and if you haven't heard No Gimmicks Needed, or the "Something Started Here" collection that is coming out on CD with Lifeline and vinyl with Get Outta Town Records-you're missing out. Personally, I'm really sad that I couldn't make it to their last shows, but without making this longer-Kill Your Idols is going to be missed but they'll always be remembered.
If you didn't read anything in there that peaked your interest, you need to get your head checked. Seriously.

It's been a hot and hectic week already as far as Ebay goes. Here is some stuff I know you slept on.

A Turning Point shirt sold for less than a Stop And Think shirt? How does that happen? And this is coming from a guy who LOVES Stop And Think. Just a little odd.

Ugh, this shirt. So cool and uncool at the same time. Such a toss up.

$1.04. $1.04? $1.04!?!?! How is this even possible? I've seen kids spend 100 times this on various shirts. My mind has been blown.

Now I know something is wrong. A How's Your Edge? shirt sold for 30 times a Cold World shirt. How does that happen? Cool shirt. Michiel Walrave artwork. SUPPORT!

Now here are a few items you can still get if you don't blow it. Get bidding.

Man, I love crewneck sweatshirts. And Floorpunch. The marriage of two awesome enterprises fir sure.

There are two of these out there. NY Wolfpack! C'mon. Steve Reddy. Equal Vision Records. EVR. Man.

Every GB fan should own one of these. Any deep pocketed or extremely lucky GB fan, that is. I was lucky enough to stumble upon one for cheap. Great record.

Out Comes the Wolves needs a little help with their summer tour. Not sure how they only have 3 dates booked for a two week tour, but that's the case. Give them a hand.

OUT COME THE WOLVES
(Barcelona, Spain / Sell Our Souls Records)

http://www.myspace.com/selloursouls

Out Come The Wolves were formed during the summer of 2005. They released a demo in time for their first show, which was supporting Champion in Barcelona in October 2005. Then, they started to play shows all over the place with bands like Discarga, Cinder, The Defense etc. The band teamed up with Sell Our Souls Records to release their first 7" in April 2006. The release show was amazing, together with Cinder, Dick Cheney, Justice and Underdog. After this, they started to play everywhere and last year they played a weekend tour around France. In 2007 they played a week-long tour together with Death Is Not Glamourous around Spain.

Their new 7", titled "Oh no it's OCTW again!", will be released next 25th May. The song "420" was included on the first "European New Breed Compilation" released by the dutch label Pressure Release in time for Light The Fuse 2007. Just in time to support this new effort, they're going out on their first European tour.

Out Come The Wolves are constantly displaying their raw and aggressive hardcore/punk, with and astouding and aggressive stage presence. If you like straight-up, honest and energetic hardcore, in the spirit of classics like DYS, Antidote and Negative Approach, you won't be disappointed.

This week was an interesting one for shirts. Let's get into it.

Unfortunately, I have heard whisperings that this one really isn't OG. Most OG shirts were black with white ink. Maybe these people are wrong. Who knows?

How this one shot up to $91 is beyond me. Beyond me.

Two Bad Brains shirts. I was watching this lot when it somehow became a Buy It Now and was GONE. Yeap, gone. Someone won it right out from under my nose. Doh.

Last but not least ...

Here's a little DIY jacket. Yeap.

Sean is always doing it big in PA (and internationally). Check out what he has to say.

JUSTICE "ESCAPADES" LP OUT NOW
It's been out for a few weeks now and the first press is going fast. Powerful, mid-paced hardcore with one of the best sounding recordings in years. Solid as hell.

POLICE & THIEVES ON YOUNGBLOOD
We're proud to welcome Washington D.C.'s POLICE & THIEVES to the label! They will be hitting the studio in mere days to record their debut EP on Youngblood. Look for this 7" EP to release this summer. We will be working with Higher Conscience Records to release a CD which compiles the 2006 demo, the 7" on Higher Conscience and the upcoming 7" on Youngblood.

YOUNGBLOOD WELCOMES MIND ERASER
This was announced at the Youngblood 10 Year Anniversary show but we it's such cool news that we have to announce it again. We will be releasing a 7" from MIND ERASER. It's an honor to be working with a Straight Edge band once again!

LIFES HALT "WE SOLD OUR SOULS" 7" REPRESS
We've been promising to do this for a long time now and it will finally see the light of day (once more) this summer. The DAT has been dusted off and it's off to be mastered for a second time. The original plates are no good (and the plant that originally pressed it up blows anyway) so the new issue of "We Sold Our Souls" should sound even better than the original.

NEW SITE IN THE WORKS
It's long overdue but a new site is underway. It will boast a new design plus the band pages and discography will be finally up-to-date. We've gotten about a million emails asking for discography information so it'll be good to get all the discography info up to date and available for all to see. Our online store will be getting an upgrade as well.

STILL HOT:
(YB-27) Justice "Escapades" LP

RECENTLY REPRESSED:
(YB-23) Iron Age "Constant Struggle" LP 2nd press 300 on black vinyl
(YB-26) Fired Up "When The Lights Go Out" 7" 2nd press 300 on red vinyl

SOON:
(YB-28) Police & Thieves 7"/CD
(YB-29) Mind Eraser 7"

KINDA SOON:
(YB-25) Set To Explode 7"

Plus 2-3 more mind-blowing releases that are a little too far off to mention yet...

UPCOMING REPRESSINGS:
(YB-4) Lifes Halt We Sold Our Souls For Hardcore 7" repress

Go check out Sean and Youngblood Records now!
